Caring Well Counseling started with one goal: to care well for those journeying through issues related to sexuality.
No shame, no judgement, just care.
My deepest desire is to provide individuals with a safe judgment-free space to be authentically seen, known, and understood. I believe in compassionate grace-filled counseling that addresses and heals the issues that often underlie our painful emotions and behavior patterns. I have experience working with individuals facing: anxiety, depression, relationship issues, concerns relating to sexuality and gender, self-harm, body image issues, grief, and the effects of abuse/trauma. I have a Master of Social Work from Western Michigan University and a Bachelor of Social Work along with a Bible/Theology degree from Kuyper College. I specialize in bringing faith and spirituality into the counseling experience and have extensive training with inner healing prayer from Ashland Theological Seminary.
Hi! My name is Ben Holdredge, and I have been studying psychology and counseling since 2010, earning my B.A. in Psychology from Cedarville University and now pursuing my M.A. in Counseling from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. I enjoy working with sexual minorities from a trauma-informed perspective while incorporating each person's faith into the counseling process. I use an eclectic approach to counseling that is influenced by CBT, person-centered therapy, and narrative therapy while incorporating the Core Needs model from Hole in My Heart Ministries.
